Woolworths has announced it is expanding its community hour to now include Emergency Service and Healthcare workers who are on the front line of the coronavirus crisis.
Between 7am and 8am every Tuesday and Thursday, Emergency Services and Healthcare Workers will now be able to do their groceries.
The dedicated shopping hour for seniors and people with a disability will continue from 7am to 8am every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
The supermarket giant announced on Tuesday doctors, nurses, paramedics, hospital and ambulance staff, police, firefighters and emergency service workers who hold an AHPRA card, have a workplace ID or are wearing their work uniform will have access to the first hour of trade on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
On Monday, Wednesday and Friday, the ‘Community Hour’ will remain dedicated to vulnerable and elderly customers who hold a government-issued Pensioner Concession Card, Commonwealth Seniors Health Card, Companion Card, Seniors Card, Disability Card and Health Care Card.
